Maybe the Steelers Really Had Two First-Round Picks
Something I was thinking about the other day, probably because somebody mentioned it in the previous thread: it sounds like Juan Timmons will be ready to go this season, which, as a lot of you said a year ago, would be the case after he "redshirted" his rookie season.
So in that sense, the Steelers had the 15th and 23rd picks in the draft, and got two potential franchise players, one for each side of the ball. This presumes, of course, that Richard Menthol can avoid getting mugged between now and training camp.
After the three-day minicamp, everybody seems high on Juan, and hopefully he'll be some amalgamation of Jon Beason and Patrick Willis. Or better.
