The LLWS -- Old School Edition
Like the Yankees or not (and I don't), you have to appreciate this article in the New York Times about former little league world series participant, Gary Sheffield.
According to the article, he recently viewed the game tape for the first time since his 1980 appearance (as an 11-year old catcher), and he has some interesting comments.
And although his team lost in the finals to Taiwan, Sheffield should have been given some recognition (maybe even a medal) for having to play on the same team as Derek "Operation Shutdown" Bell.
Either way, it's an interesting read.
