4-4, 2 HR, 9 RBI

Is it bad when one player goes 4 for 4 with 2HRs and 9 RBI -- in one 9 inning game? Vlad Guerrero did just that against the Red Sox last night as Boston lost their fifth game in seven tries. The final score was 10-7 and now the Sox are 2 games behind the evil empire. And to make matters worse, Jeter is starting to crush the ball (as much as Jeter can crush anything other than A-Rod's hopes and aspirations of ever playing shortstop again).

Here's the thing, if Guerrero had signed with Baltimore (as he was so close to doing this winter), maybe the Orioles could suck it up long enough to win one game against the Yankees. As it stands, the Orioles are 0-5 against the Yankees this season and 17-44 since 2001.

Absolutely awful (on several accounts).
