If the situation at center is as dire as reported (after one practice), then I suppose this isn't a bad idea. Of course, TheCharles Bentley wants to play guard, so maybe nothing would be resolved.Unless, of course, the Steelers just went with a three-guard, two-tackle alignment and Ben could just snap the ball to himself. Sounds unconventional, sure, but there's no way he gets sacked 47 times.
Or, maybe, we should all take a deep breath and give these guys a week, or, hell, two weeks to get back in the swing of things.
Option B: have Casey Hampton gain wait and let him play center and both guards.
