You're On Your Own

OK, a lot of good material in yesterday's comments, and I, of course, have some thoughts. Unfortunately it'll have to wait a day because I'm working on some other football-related stuff. Still, don't hesitate to keep the free agency updates coming and I'll be back tomorrow.

Update #1: Chris Hope has some visits lined up ... finally. According to the Post-Gazette he'll talk with the Titans and the 49ers this week. The Tribune-Review reports Pittsburgh will have safety Ryan Clark in for a visit. Clark played with the Redskins the last few seasons and while he's steady, he's not a long-term solution. More troublesome is the fact that the Patriots are interested in Verron Haynes. The story also reports that the Steelers and Keisel are still talking, and Batch will make more than a million a pop.

Update #2: Kimo Von Oelhoffen is now a New York Jet. And he got a pretty sweet deal: 3-year, $9.2 million deal with including a $3.2 million signing bonus. Not too bad for an old-timer.

Update #3: And one more thing, the Steelers signed safety Ryan Clark too. Hope's still a free agent, so it'll be interesting how things play out going forward.

Update #4: Jeebus, I can't type fast enough to keep up with all the signings. DJ (through the Post-Gazette) says Keisel will remain a Steeler.
