Paging All Monkeys

You may have noticed that the Haloscan comments have gone missing. They haven't disappeared into the ether (although that would be hardly surprising at this point), but I've disabled them for the time being because the monkeys at Halocan HQ have yet to iron out the bug that causes this site to load like it's 1997 and we're all using dial-up.

Get what you pay for, I guess. Sucks, too, because the entire catalog of witty HSS banter is recorded on Haloscan servers, and now we don't have access to them. Hopefully, Dr. Zaius will get on that so we can all get on with our lives.

In the meantime, we're stuck with Blogger comments. Enjoy. Actually, if we think these are better, maybe I'll set up a another site strictly for Haloscan historical purposes. I doubt it will come to that, but who knows, somebody might be interested in what the HSS peanut gallery was thinking during, say, either of the Steelers-Jags games last season.

In terms of Steelers-related news, well, there's not much going on, obviously. John Harris wrote this awesome piece, which, sadly, is probably some of his best work. Enjoy.

  1. That's Dr. Monkey to you. I didn't spend 7 years in evil monkey school for nothing.

  3. Gives new meaning to Monkey Business doesn't it? (insert booing here - I did it so that I could officially register my Blogger account)

  4. The comments in the MDS piece on Fanhouse about the Harris column (and to which Ryan links here) are totally awesome.

  5. By the way, check out my Hossa picture in my blogger account.

It's for the PensBlog, where one also needs a blogger/google account.

Big win over there tonight -- though according to the date stamp on my last comment it is only March 2008.

  6. Wait -- now I get it. Blogger comments must default to Euro date format (dd/mm/yy). How cosmopolitan!

  7. Big win for the Pens. Hopefully the older Red Wings will still have heavy legs tomorrow night after the quick turn around.
